Varonas is a Madrid-based band formed by seasoned musicians from other groups such as Mallory Knox, Thee Girlfriends, Suckin' Dicks, and Vigilante Gitano. They've been touring the Madrid scene for some time, having played with bands like Generador, Capitán Entresijos, MalaBrava, and The Rezillos (a band with whom they share many similarities). Fronted by their two female singers, their music is hard-hitting punk-rock with melodic power-pop touches and vocals influenced by the B-52's. "Ahora Mejor" is their second 7" EP, featuring three more songs that perfectly reflect their sound.
