TRANSILVANIANS - NATURE BOY / NIGHT AND DAY (7")

20 Years of Transilvanians.

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Vigo-based band, their second commemorative single was released in 2024, featuring two more covers of songs by musicians who, in one way or another, have influenced Transilvanians. It would be impossible to name all the artists who have influenced them at some point, given the group's great versatility and broad-mindedness, but these two covers have been flawlessly captured.

On side A we have the song 'Nature Boy', originally by Eden Ahbez, which Transilvanians take to their own style, with a classic Jamaican Ska rhythm and the elegant vocal performance of their singer Javier Marcos.

And on the B-side they surprise us with Cole Porter's 'Night & Day', another vocal track in which they perform divinely in the realm of Jazz taken to Early Roots Reggae, which reminds us of the forays into jazz territory by some Jamaican artists back in 1968/69.

Both songs were recorded at Escusalla Sonora by their bassist, Javi Vicalo, and produced by Kino L-Cobra.

This gem is being released in digital format and on vinyl in a limited edition of 500 copies worldwide.
