THE SMOGGERS - LET ME KNOW SINGLE 7"

The core of The Smoggers was formed in a village in the mountains of Jaén. There they met Jesus (from Cordoba), Ann (from Malaga) and Fernando (from Seville), united by their love of music. The three quickly take action, deciding to learn the basics of playing their instruments. Ana will take charge of the drums, while Jesús and Fernando focus on the guitars. They decide to set up their rehearsal base in Seville, where Fernando and Ana live. It is there that they rent their rehearsal space and recruit Gusti as a bassist.

Their first concert was without anyone on bass; with Gusti now in charge, and despite having only rehearsed a couple of times with the band, they faced a performance in Cabra (Córdoba). While their early steps were heavily influenced by the sounds of The Gories and The Sonics, they soon set out to achieve "something primitive and direct without frills, but capable of capturing our major influences, which ranged from freak, beat, surf, and sixties garage to the 80s revival."
