From the ashes of old musical projects in the Madrid underground, The Laser Society is born, the result of the union of two old friends and fellow travelers in the fondly remembered Fortune Tellers, Madrid references in terms of 60s-inspired sounds.
Sergio Gil (Fortune Tellers, Busking Folks) and Juan Antonio Carmona “Larri” (Los Benditos, Fortune Tellers) have decided to join forces again and are preparing new songs that combine power, energy, and melody. Joining them on the project are Jesús “Bendito” (Los Benditos, Hat Trick, 500 Kilos de Mariachi) and Diego Soto (Seisymedia, Cactus Garden), on guitar and bass respectively.
After a string of concerts, including festivals from Madrid's Alternativa Fest to León's Purple Weekend, Santander's Action Weekend, Miranda de Ebro's Ebro Club, and Caravaca Power Pop, they released their first single, "Sad City/Let It Shine," in 2022. Released under the Diablo Club Records label and produced by José María Rosillo, this debut single showcases the band's intentions: well-rounded songs contained on a beautiful seven-inch record.
In 2023, recorded at the German Castle and with Carlos Hernández Nombela producing, they recorded their second single The Mistake/Austin, which was released by Folc Records and contains two other gems from The Laser Society's repertoire.
Today, The Laser Society remain true to their vision, making fantastic songs, recording them, and performing them live.
