THE FISHSKA - JOHNY'S WHINEY (7")
Originally from Bekasi, West Java, The Fishska formed in Indonesia in 1997. They have been an active part of the Indonesian underground scene to this day.
In 2023 they recorded their new album 'Banned In Jakarta'. Two songs from that album have now been released on vinyl by Liquidator Music: 'Johny's Whiney' and 'Confession Of A Skinhead'. Both songs are in the 60s Skinhead Reggae style.
'Confession of a Skinhead' is inspired by his experiences as a young teenage skinhead in a bygone era. It deals with the cliché of loyalty to the scene, which ultimately led to a story of betrayal and disillusionment. 'Johnny's Whiney,' on the other hand, is a satirical take on working-class protest against the government.
