THE CHESTERFIELD KINGS - SURFIN' RAMPAGE (LP)
Formed in 1979, this band sounds and dresses like a mid-60s group, reviving the music of legendary bands such as the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Kinks, Blues Magoos, Yardbirds, Zombies, Byrds, Remains, and Chocolate Watchband. Their musical expertise also unearths a wealth of obscure American garage rock acts from the 60s, like The Brogues, Painted Ship, and The Moving Sidewalks. The group was formed in the late 70s, led by the singer. Greg Prevost , vocalist obsessed with the early Rolling Stones, and the bassist Andy Babiuk , a scholar of the music of the Beatles and the Stones.
