RUFINOOS - JFFJ (7")

Like Michael Myers in the "Halloween" saga, Family Spree hasn't quite breathed its last, and just when we thought it was finished, bam!, it gets up and gives us another scare, although actually with a lot of pleasure as is the case here, because, how could we not be captivated by this new band?, just as you, kind listener, will be when you bring to your ears this slice of Rufinoos, their debut album, in which they express their obsessions and their fondness for the most organic and atomic punk-pop, demonstrating that so many hours squandering their youth burning the record of The Ramones or the LookOut! catalog along with the most unhinged of the Hispanic punk-new wave of the eighties, have not been in vain.

Lovers of the contemplative life, sweets, cheese, pets and animals in general, Rufinoos churn out bite-sized pieces about local heroes and heroines (ergo, from El Bierzo) and their favorite bars, as well as about the complex socio-geopolitical reality that we humans of the 21st century (well, and the 20th) have had to live through. And you don't need to be Michael Myers to get galvanized, listen!
