MICKY AND THE COLOSSIANS OF RHYTHM - PANDORA'S SESSIONS (7")

Micky doesn't shy away from any challenge.
His band, Los Colosos del Ritmo, proposed that he lend his voice to one of the Imperial Surfers' most immortal hits, "Mueve tus botines" (Move Your Boots), using lyrics written by Busta Spector for the song and renaming it "Amor de verdad, amor verdadero" (True Love, True Love). Charming, romantic, innocent, and kind, yet also an unwavering invitation to move your boots, just as the original song recommended. The result: a marvel.
And on the B-side they recover one of the mythical songs of Micky and the Tonys, the unforgettable "The Problem of My Hairs", originally from 1967 which still retains an undeniable catchiness today (as an example of this, Ben Vaughn recently played it on his program The many moods of...).
Both tracks were recorded under the masterful hand of Paco Poza, in a lo-fi style that takes us back to the most genuine Tacoma sound.
