MARCOS ROBERTO - O PRISIONEIRO (7")
The 11th release from Discos Quilombo features Marcos Roberto. Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Marcos Roberto Dias Cardoso began his musical career within the Jovem Guarda movement of the mid-60s, heavily influenced by the "British Invasion," launching his solo career in 1966 with a long and successful trajectory as a melodic pop artist and ballad composer.
Even so, in 1971, moving away somewhat from his style, he left us these two gems that have remained hidden for a long time: "O Prisioneiro", a tremendous mid-tempo psychedelic track and "Quem Pôs Tanta Coisa Em Sua Cabeça", an authentic popsike gem with a delicious melody that transports to other worlds.
