MANZANITA Y SU CONJUNTO - ARRE CABALLITO (LP) COLOR

'Manzanita', the 'guitar hero' of Peruvian cumbia you should know. In the 1970s, Berardo Hernández, 'Manzanita', released an LP that would become a precursor to the Peruvian tropical genre. It was in 1968 that Berardo began to make his way when, along with his band, he recorded his first 45 RPM single, which included the tracks "Arre Caballito" and "La Parada". It was producer Alberto Maraví who foresaw the potential commercial success and suggested a name change. Thus, Berardo's group became known as 'Manzanita' and his band, adopting the nickname his closest friends used for him. The song "Arre Caballito" quickly became a hit.
