Besides wishing Little Richard a happy birthday every December 5th, let's also thank him for all the songs—inspired by his sound and singing style—that were released in the wake of the "Tutti Frutti" boom. One of the best and most WILD was this "She Can Rock" by Little Ike, released by Nashville's Champion Records in 1957. Little is known about Isaac "Little Ike" Hamilton: Champion signed him when he was the lead singer for the Bubba Suggs Band, he recorded this, his only single, and then vanished completely. Understandable...it's unbeatable. We've taken the liberty of replacing the B-side of the original single—the ballad "Am I Losing You"—with a fast-paced R&B track by the maestro Earl Hines. None other than the dark "Now Do You Hear," recorded during the same sessions and also released by Champion that same year.
