It features 14 explosive tracks showcasing the influences of 60s garage punk and the 80s revival, all with lyrics in Spanish. Their compositions evoke Music Machine, Los Yorks (Peru), and The Cynics, but Las Ratas Sicodelicas dare to push the boundaries with their track "No te persigas," reminiscent of Velvet Underground, and their raw version of the classic "Keep on Running," sung by Oscar Hechomierda (bass)—a truly bizarre piece. Las Ratas Sicodelicas (The Psychedelic Rats) were born from the union of three friends who joined forces to combat the profound boredom unleashed by the 2020 pandemic. With a musical transformation that draws on their extensive garage punk experience, they incorporate Latin beats and psychedelia, and all their songs are sung in Spanish. These psychedelic rodents are Rolando Bruno, Oscar Hechomierda, and Pablo Bam Bam, all with past and present ties to the garage punk band Los Peyotes from Buenos Aires, Argentina. They have a 7″ vinyl record with two songs released by Groovie Records (Portugal) and an upcoming LP.
