JOAO TOMBA - AND THE SNAKES OF PLUTO (LP)

Joao Tomba's latest assault on the status quo of conformity and clichés that prevails in our 21st-century society. Harassed and mistreated by those in power, Joao exiles himself to Chapela, a coastal town near Vigo, fleeing debt and the pettiness of the local authorities who, far from supporting their artists, seem to condemn them to ostracism and excommunication. Thus begins a new adventure for Joao, this time accompanied by Las Culebras de Plutón, his alternative band to TDK Chrome. The nine killer tracks that make up the album are a scathing reinterpretation of Rolling Stones and Burning, no small feat. Joao dons the persona of the 80s teenager he never was to dissect, with the utmost discernment, the nostalgia of those times of drugs, fury, and excitement.

This adorable adventure was produced by the Sweet Grooves Records label, and the cover art was done by the Narco-Tiza-Arte collective.
