JAVIER ANDREU - THE MAN WHO WENT OUT TOO MUCH (LP)

I started writing this album after my parents died. That's why it's dedicated to them. Well, to them and to all the people who have helped me get back on my feet since then.
He talks about storms and sunsets, about me and my circumstances; I suppose it's a way of getting everything out after so many wild years.
It's not a dramatic album, much less a transcendental one; it's simply a way to continue feeling the music and embellish it with lyrics, to transmit to you what I carry inside, which is the best part of my profession.
Over the years, a long line of revered authors has been woven into my memory; they are all here. There is nothing fictional here; it is all autobiographical. These are my influences. My trump cards: Bowie, Lou Reed, Dylan...
When I listen to my first records I don't recognize myself, perhaps distance and time have taken their toll on me, but looking back I only have the memory of the glorious afternoons in Cercedilla, of bicycle wheels, of the first time they touched the asphalt, of the silence.
