ENTRESIJOS, VICTOR COYOTE

Born in the Galician municipality of Tui, Víctor Coyote is one of Madrid's most illustrious residents. Through his frequent strolls through the city, this musician, writer, filmmaker, illustrator, and graphic designer—among many other things—discovers the secrets of its neighborhoods, finds its most traditional shops, and, to continue his wanderings, recharges his batteries in the most authentic bars, where he chats with the regulars, paying special attention not only to their anecdotes but also to their expressions and their unique way of telling stories.
With all these materials, Coyote creates short stories that have allowed him to add chronicler of Madrid to his long list of activities. These comics reveal, for example, that a kayak polo competition was held on the Retiro lake, that, according to legend, a goat once rode on an EMT bus, that unusual buildings like La Pagoda once existed in Madrid, that great musicians have emerged from Caño Roto and the Ruedo de la M-30, and that, contrary to what one might think, the Tirso de Molina Market is not located in the square of the same name.
