 An urban and autobiographical rock'n'roll epic!! Pepe Kubrick (José Rubio Fontal) is a genuine product of the bars of El Bierzo, of Sunday afternoons suffering with Deportiva Ponferradina in the old "cauldron" of Fuentesnuevas, and above all of the rock'n'roll nights in a city that, although it may be hard to believe now, not so many years ago was on the international map of this music for bands, managers and fans.

“The Only Game in Town” is his unique vision of an era steeped in alcohol, punctuated by melodies, and forged by unbreakable bonds of friendship. But above all, it is a declaration of love for the city that saw him born. To be born in "the ugliest and most beautiful city in the world," as he has always described Ponferrada—noisy, polluted, and with strange architecture—through whose streets unfolded the most astonishing adventures for a teenager obsessed equally with modernist culture and punk rock. The author's pen immerses us in these streets and makes us complicit in a philosophy of life that, starting from innocence, ends in disillusionment. Rubio Fontal, in the end, tries to do justice to a Ponferrada and a rock 'n' roll that have given him so much, and to which he owes so much.
