Doctor Explosión release a new single singing in Catalan.
500 numbered copies in a limited edition are now available for purchase, a co-release between Discos Circo Perrotti and the Lleida-based label Guerssen Records. The single features two songs: “Perdo L'Esma,” a version of James Brown’s “I’ll Go Crazy,” previously adapted into Catalan by the legendary Barcelona band Eurogroup; and an original, garage-rock-infused, and playable track, “Ves-te'n si us plau,” a new version of their classic “Baby Please Go” / “Vende tu corazón,” originally included on the album “Vivir sin Civilizar,” this time with Catalan lyrics by Manolo Navarro of Canary Sect and Jorge Muñoz Cobo.
The artwork by Marc Argenter is a nod to the 1960s Barcelona band Eurogrup and the releases on the Concentric label. The back cover is also a small tribute to all those Asturian bands from the 1960s that never managed to record an album: Los Rebeldes, Los Espectros, and Los Sony's, and specifically to Miguel Escalada, the vocalist of Los Sony's, who was a pioneer of Garage Rock in Asturias.
