Kae Tempest is a poet, lyricist, performer, and musician. She has published plays, poems, a novel, an essay, several albums, and has toured extensively worldwide, selling out shows from Reykjavik to Rio de Janeiro. She has received Mercury Music Prize nominations for the albums *Everybody Down* and *Let Them Eat Chaos*, and two Ivor Novello Award nominations for her songwriting on *The Book of Traps and Lessons*. She has received the Ted Hughes Award for her narrative poem *Brand New Ancients* and the Silver Lion at the Venice Theatre Biennale. Her books have been translated into eleven languages and published globally to critical acclaim. Born in London in 1985, she currently resides there. She hopes to continue putting words together for a long time to come.
