LOS 4SEÑORES NEW ALBUM: “FROM TUSET TO LAS RAMBLAS”
We present the new album from the Barcelona band Los 4Señores, “De Tuset a Las Ramblas”, recorded at the “Sol de Sants” studios between June 19 and 24 and produced by Mike Mariconda.
This is the second album by Los 4Señores, a band with seasoned members forged in the Barcelona scene of the 80s (Kamenbert, Killwatts, Wom! A2, Brighton 64) and on this occasion we witness the sound of a group in clear evolution and progression from the r&b and garage sound of their first LP towards new records, always within their characteristic sound, based on powerful guitars and a powerful and forceful rhythm section.
“De Tuset a Las Ramblas” contains 10 original tracks and a cover of “Bebiendo y Bailando” by the legendary band Mermelada. The sonic palette of these compositions includes influences from 70s rock, pub rock, psychedelic touches, country, and hints of rockabilly, without Los 4Señores intending to engage in stylistic exercises. These influences permeate the tracks naturally, because they emerged during the creative process of their composition.
Without having premeditated it, “De Tuset a Las Ramblas” is a concept album. All the themes in its lyrics allude to the The film focuses on a city—in this case Barcelona, though it could be any other—and on specific places within its landscape, as well as the people who live there. Within this urban setting, we see the everyday problems and joys of ordinary people interacting in its streets, bars, or metro stations.
Lives that unfold without fanfare, each with its own intimate problems and joys. “Autumn Afternoon,” “Without Crying,” “Your Delights,” “Better, Worse,” “Against Manuel Crespo,” “You Will Return,” “That Song Played (and I Drank),” “Normal People,” “Sacred Days,” “I Can Forgive,” and “Drinking and Dancing” are the tracks of “From Tuset to Las Ramblas”: a kaleidoscopic journey through the city streets and the people who inhabit them, guided by four gentlemen who reveal themselves
in peak form and maturity.
The 4Señores are: Manolo Crespo (Vocals), Joan Llovera (Bass), Dani Prenafeta (Guitar) and Andrés Verdú (Drums).
