TRANSILVANIANS - AMAR A MARES / A BRUXA (7")

After a recording silence of more than 3 years, Transilvanians return with two new singles that they will release to celebrate their first 20 years of existence as a band.

These songs were recorded at Escusalla Sonora, a new studio in the middle of the Ourense mountains run by their bassist, Javi Vicalo and, as has been the case in their latest recordings, it was produced by Kino L-Cobra and Javier Vicalo himself.

'Amar A Mares' from the album 'Espido', composed and performed by Guadi Galego and Guillerme Fernández. This song was recorded by this wonderful duo in 2005, and in this single they transport it to Orange Street itself, bringing it closer to the realm of classic Ska.

On the other side is 'A Bruxa', a timeless classic composed by Antón Seoane and performed by Milladoiro, (one of the most important bands in Galician traditional music) and originally released on their album 'A Galicia De Maeloc' (1980).

The guys from Vigo take this theme to their own territory and turn it into an instrumental roots reggae with passages that will remind you of Rico Rodríguez's "Man From Wareika".

It's clear that Transilvanians are thriving after 20 years on the road, and they're celebrating with this great tribute to Galician music.
