The Lings formed in 2021 in the countryside between Mantua and Verona, northern Italy, and debuted the following year with a self-titled CD (Slack! Records / Kool Kat Musik, August 2022) critically acclaimed for being a beautiful condensed blend of killer melodies, country-folk plots and powerpop attitude, drawing from the carefree sound of the 60s mixed with the psychedelia of the 70s, the glam rock of the 80s and the melancholy of the 90s.
After two years, they're back with a new album, shuffling the deck and producing entirely new ideas, reiterating and perfecting their nonconformity within the musical genre, always with top-notch riffs and arrangements accompanied by a never-banal and extremely catchy composition. This is what they mean for pop music, which seems 100% credible and convincing.
