The legendary punk trio The Dils formed in San Diego, Southern California, and when they moved to San Francisco, bassist Tony Kinman found himself living with the Avengers. But once they arrived in Los Angeles in 1977, they began recording frenetic singles for fledgling independent labels like What? Records, Dangerhouse, and Rogelleti, for more melodic, country-influenced songs that foreshadowed their later incarnation as Rank & File. The compilation Dils Dils Dils brings together their early studio work and live recordings, and this edition includes two bonus tracks recorded in Los Angeles in 1979. Essential listening for all Dils fans. Yellow vinyl.
