The result of a collaboration between four talented musicians who need no introduction—it's very likely that their record collections already contain copies of their previous bands—Strengsbrew are one of the rare examples of "supergroups" where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Strengsbrew is a talented, charismatic, and experienced (though not too old) four-member band hailing from two of the world's rock capitals (Stockholm, Sweden, and Queens, New York). Formed in 2019, this quartet of musicians produces a sound so distinctive and unique—so heavy, impulsive, and melodic—that you can't help but rock out. They've completely dominated the mid-transatlantic music scene while redefining the global image of contemporary multicultural ethnic-rock music, carving out a unique niche within the harder fringes of radio-friendly rock and roll.
Not content with riding the coattails of The Hellacopters and the stardom of garage rock legends The Fleshtones, Strengsbrew are opening people's minds with their driving, emotionally charged music in a unique and unprecedented package. Just as Lee Hazlewood, Sevendust, and Hootie and the Blowfish have changed the face of rock, Strengsbrew—with several members born in the US but based in Scandinavia—are poised to prove that music is indeed the one true universal language (in a changing new world where music seems to be erasing all existing racial boundaries). With their solid lineup, Strengsbrew has ignited Scandinavia with their crisp, pop-sensitive anthems, along with a loyal following of music lovers, both young and old.
Their first single, "I Don't Need Myself," was released in February 2020 on Chaputa! Records. Since then, the band has recorded 10 new tracks, which are now featured on their debut album, "Too Far North," due out on September 16, 2022. This is an incredible album, one capable of restoring faith in Rock 'n' Roll to anyone who has lost hope in it—which certainly won't be the case for us, as we always believe that Rock 'n' Roll is one of the most powerful forces in the Universe. An album that confirms Strengsbrew as one of the most exciting bands around today.
