SMOOTH BEANS - AT LOW FYAH LP

After two years of touring, this Spanish band suddenly became one of the biggest names in Jamaican classical music in Spain and one of the most frequent acts across the country. The band's first year was a great start, winning first prize at the Cantabrian Music Competition. They invested their winnings in recording at the best reggae studio in Spain. Just a few months later, they released their first single, "Cantabria's Finest," the vinyl version of which went out of print six months later. Smooth Beans spent their second year on the road, bringing their unique sound to every corner of the country, playing in the most popular clubs and at the biggest festivals. One of the highlights of their then-short career was being chosen to close the Ska Club stage at the Rototom Sunsplash Festival in 2010, Europe's largest Jamaican music festival, which drew over 150,000 people in August of that year. Following their debut single, fans clamored for more music to nourish their souls. So, 'At Low Fyah' was released a few months later, featuring 10 original compositions, ranging from romantic rocksteady to uptempo bluebeat, and of course, adding a few reggae stomps.
