RUBÉN LÓPEZ & THE DIATONES - LEFTOVERS (7")

Rubén López And The Diatones strike again with this 7” EP entitled 'Leftovers', following the same aesthetic and musical line as their previous full-length album.
The same attitude, without hesitation, from the slap in the face that is their first track 'Statement', in which they deliver a merciless and ruthless lyric about the current Reggae/Dancehall scene, to a killer instrumental called 'Middle East Rhapsody' that completes the first side.
On the B-side we find the danceable 'Move Up' where at the end of the track the ghost of Gilberto Sextet himself appears, until completing the EP with a track entitled 'Enric Durán' that speaks of working-class heroes who never wanted to be, while everything around us crumbles.
Old school reggae, instruments throbbing, no samplers, no machines, no vocoder, no auto-tune. Your little brother isn't messing around with the computer, just huge butts shaking and sound boy ears popping.
