Pedro Lima fue sin duda el cantante más emblemático de Santo Tomé. Nacido en 1944, su carrera comenzó en su adolescencia con su fiel banda Os Leonenses, integrada principalmente por miembros de su familia, con quienes compartió gran parte de su vida musical. Esta carrera se prolongó hasta su fallecimiento el 31 de enero de 2019. Hasta el último momento, siguió ofreciendo conciertos en todo el país y fue uno de los pocos cantantes y grupos de Santo Tomé y Príncipe que grabaron en Luanda, Angola, para los sellos N'Gola y Merengue en los años 70, y en Lisboa para el prestigioso sello IEFE en los 80.
