With the usual delay, the long-awaited second volume dedicated to rescuing unreleased recordings from this legendary and awesome Boston band has finally arrived. Following the demos and singles on Rat, included in the successful first volume, here comes its little brother, featuring—mostly—live material never before released. But Eaterville Vol. 2 isn't a compilation of lo-fi recordings, rehearsals, etc.; it's a collection of material taken from radio performances or recorded directly from the mixing board in the clubs where they used to appear almost weekly between 1976 and 1979. Here you'll find more potential hits that never materialized ("Someone Else In Your Arms," ​​"Necessities," etc.), along with takes of their classics ("Hot Steel And Acid," "Red On White," etc.) and incendiary versions of their most explosive material ("Just Head" or "Degenerate" live are out of this world). Remastered sound, liner notes by Paul McGuire, previously unpublished photos and press clippings from the time.
