Everyone agrees: Peanut Duck is, quite simply, one of the greatest songs of all time. Little is known about its origins, except that it was recorded in the mid-60s at Virtue Studios in Philadelphia. There are also discussions about who was behind the pseudonym Marsha Gee or about the large band that accompanied her. Nor are there any clues to explain why such an abrasive song wasn't released back then. The track in question, of which only one acetate exists, has been reissued on other occasions in the past and included on some compilations, but in any case, here at last is the first, legitimate, and hopefully definitive edition of "the duck song."
