The prolific and ubiquitous Hipbone Slim, also known as Sir Bald, returns with his talented backing band, The Crowntoppers. Their 14-track LP comprises both raw rock 'n' roll and hard-hitting rhythm and blues, played with all the right dance moves.
This release is the latest and long-awaited second album from the magnificent HIPBONE SLIM AND HIS CROWNTOPPERS. Within the grooves of this beautifully designed record, you'll find fourteen great songs, tastefully composed and rhythmically perfect for livening up even the wildest dances.
And who are the Crown Toppers?
They are a band of talented musicians led by the prolific and ubiquitous Hipbone Slim, also known as Sir Bald. The Toppers play two types of music: Rock and Roll and Rhythm and Blues! They make music for dancing, eating, drinking, shouting, and falling down on the floor!
Its members are known for their previous work with Sir Bald and his furry entourage. As THE KNEETREMBLERS, their best-known group, they have numerous albums to their credit, but you can also find them in the ranks of THE KNEEJERK REACTIONS and THE NINE TON PEANUT SMUGGLERS, as well as under many other names.
In the Crowntoppers, the Tremblers are accompanied by Colonel MFC Evoy on saxophone and Mr. Slim Cyder on keyboards. When Slim is unable to play because he's distilling his own concoctions, Kid Wig, an old accompanist of Sir Bald, takes over on keyboards.
