HEROES ON WHEELS, VARIOUS AUTHORS

This book stems from Susana Mollá Figueres's unmet need in 2018, when her dog, Hugo, became paralyzed. Therefore, this book is for all those who have a paralyzed dog and are heartbroken because they don't know what to do, because they can't find answers to their questions or the peace needed to cope with this devastating blow. We want to share our experience and that of our dogs in the first person, to give them a voice and raise awareness. And if, in doing so, we can help others going through the same thing, this project will have been worthwhile.

It's also addressed to veterinarians, especially those who, with great dedication and respect for life, help paralyzed dogs and their families, making this journey as bearable as possible. You are a light, and we need you. But it's also for those veterinarians who advised her to euthanize Hugo, claiming that "a dog in a wheelchair is neither a dog nor happy." Thankfully, she didn't listen to them. Because Hugo gave her the best years of her life. He taught her that a dog's happiness isn't based on using four legs. Their happiness is much deeper and, at the same time, much simpler. Love your paralyzed dog, and he will be happy.
