Considered Detroit's first punk band, the ironic power-pop-punk quartet Cinecyde launched Tremor Records in 1977 to manage their own work, releasing several singles and EPs before recording this explosive debut album in 1982. Arguably the band's best record, it captured Cinecyde at their peak and made it clear that the sound was all their own, the musicians channeling their raw power into unusual power-pop song structures, their high level of musicianship and uncomplicated lyrics relegating the production to a whole new level. A must-have for fans of the band and for all lovers of intelligent, atypical Midwestern punk.
