BUZZCOCKS - NOSTALGIA (LP)

Listening to the journey of a song you really love and all its different incarnations is a pleasure, as opposed to just hearing the same take that makes up an album over and over again. The Buzzcocks have released the demos they made before the release of Love Bites, their second studio album and best-selling one. "Every Fallen In Love" sounds more raw: the bass and guitars are louder than on the polished album version, giving it a slightly more underground, DIY punk feel. "Nothing Left" also shifts the emphasis to focus on the riff. There are also tracks that didn't make it onto the album, like "Mother Of Turds," where you can barely hear them stifling laughter. It's great to hear a band that doesn't take every step too seriously and enjoys their journey to success.
