AUTHORAMAS - SELF-INTITLED (LP)

Brazil's best and wildest unconventional garage punks, AUTORAMAS, present their fabulous ninth album: Autointitulado! It's no surprise that it's called "Autointitulado," as it seems very immediate and autobiographical. Its fantastic cover, created by Gustavo Cruzeiro, depicts the four musicians as comic book superheroes battling our times of crisis—that is, the recent chaos and crisis, which are also reflected in their music and lyrics.
The album kicks off with the powerful and driving "Noias Normais," instantly plunging you into AUTORAMAS' signature furious and unmistakable mood. One hit follows another, whether it's "Sem Tempo," "Fauna Abisal," "Dia Da Marmota," or even the slightly more subdued ballad "Eu Tive uma Visao"; this album simply grabs you. The catchy melodies and vocals of Gabriel Thomaz and Erika Martins permeate the entire album, while Autoramas' signature wild and distorted guitars, frenetic organ, and comedic elements are present in tracks like "Boneco" and "Erupto."
The album was released on CD and vinyl by the Brazilian label MAXILAR MUSIC for the Brazilian market only, while the SOUNDFLAT RECORDS edition of the LP (on yellow vinyl) ends with the exclusive bonus track 'I Wanna Be Your Man' – a very fierce and wild version of the BEATLES classic and a perfect ending to an explosive record that can be listened to again and again.
